N.H. publisher to candidates: Be here in two weeks

Buzz New Hampshire Union Leader publisher Joseph McQuaid today has a simple message for the major presidential contenders, particularly Democrat Barack Obama: Be here -- together -- in two weeks. McQuaid says it's time for Obama to take up the offer from Republican contender John McCain that they hold joint townhall meetings. And, says McQuaid: Let's hear no excuses about negotiations and security and the need for months of planning. President Bill Clinton and House Speaker Newt Gingrich were both here the same week in 1995 and, within three days of it being suggested, they held a joint question-and-answer session in Claremont.
