Australia's only scooter manufacturer, Vmoto Ltd, hopes to expand into the European market after making a deal with the world's second largest retailer, Carrefour. The company will initially supply scooters to Carrefour Spain over the European summer and autumn. Vmoto Europe is expected to deliver about 500 units to the Carrefour centres in Madrid, with the first order of 150 scooters to be shipped this week. France-based Carrefour is renowned for its so-called "hyper market" format that combines a grocery and department store in a large retail complex.
