Trademark infringement and unfair competition are definitely not sexy, according to HBO. The cable-TV giant is suing six club promoters in Manhattan federal court for illegally using its stationery and copied signatures of its top execs to dupe rivals into canceling events they had planned for the "Sex and the City" movie premiere in May, court papers state. The promoters, who were not identified, intended to rub out the competition, according to the lawsuit, in order to draw bigger crowds to their own parties. Their efforts centered on the Boston party scene.
