Dubai Cares drive this year to focus on volunteerism

By Zoe Sinclair (Our staff reporter) DUBAI — The Dubai Cares initiative has provided at least three million children access to primary education, exceeding its target of one million, it was announced last night. Addressing the media, Dubai Cares Chairperson Reem Al Hashimi also announced that this year's campaign, that is to be launched during Ramadan, would focus on volunteerism. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had launched the Dubai Cares campaign last year with the aim of providing one million children access to primary education.
