I think the first two ideas listed in this latest ACI piece are great. But as we've all been told constantly now by everyone from the ABC to the ACI, the Lambeth Meeting has no authority to enforce anything it says, so . . . even if the Lambeth Meeting were to slamdunk these ideas along similar lines to Lambeth 1.10 . . . it would mean nothing. The next ten years would be spent by the conservatives pointing out what Lambeth 2008 did, and by the liberals shrugging their shoulders. I disagree with the third idea of establishing yet another body -- this time a sub-unit of the Primates Meeting. A smaller body won't be listened to any more than the larger body, nor will its actions be enforceable either. Like the ancient myth of larger and larger turtles holding up the world, smaller and smaller bodies will achieve merely the same...
