Forensic experts are searching for remains of victims of Mexico's "dirty war" against suspected rebels and dissidents at a former military base in southern Mexico. About 30 police and forensic investigators from the federal attorney general's office began excavating Monday as relatives of the missing watched. The southern town of Atoyac de Alvarez was a center of leftist guerrilla activity in the 1960s. The rebel group Party of the Poor emerged there and was led by school teacher Lucio Cabanas.
