Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono attended the summit of Developing Eight (D-8) countries which was opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday to try to find ways to battle mounting prices of food and energy. Besides delivering his address on the occasion, President Yudhoyono also transfered the D-8 leadership to Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. D-8 is a group of developing countries that have formed an economic development alliance. Established in Istambul, Turkey, on June 15, 1997, the group is made up of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
