UN Security Council condemns suicide bombing in Kabul

UNITED NATIONS, July 7 (Xinhua) -- The UN Security Council on Monday strongly condemned the suicide bombing that killed 41 people and injured nearly 150 others outside the Indian embassy in Kabul. In a press statement, the council "condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist suicide attack" that killed Afghan civilians, Indian diplomats and security personnel. The council underlined the need to bring those responsible for "this reprehensible act of terrorism to justice" and urged "all states to cooperate actively with the Afghan authorities in this regard," said the statement.
