Young Brit Ross Fisher triumphs at European Open

Ross Fisher holed a bunker shot at the last hole to win the European Open by a staggering seven shots and complete a famous weekend for British sport. A glory charge which had begun before either Lewis Hamilton or Laura Robson powered their way into the nation's hearts, ended in spectacular fashion at The London club. "To end the tournament like that is what dreams are made of," admitted Fisher, who led from start to finish to net the £400,000 top prize and move firmly into Ryder Cup contention.
