Jefferson: Nets facing tough times

BY JULIAN GARCIA DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER Whenever Richard Jefferson was asked about his future when he was still on the Nets, he said he wanted to spend his entire career with the team. Making his first official appearance Monday as a member of the Bucks since the Nets traded him to Milwaukee June 26, Jefferson stuck by what he had said so many times before. "It was an emotional thing for me only because I wanted to be a Net for my entire career, good and bad," Jefferson said. "We'd had good stretches, we had bad stretches. But I wanted to be a Net." Jefferson hadn't spoken publicly since the Nets traded him for center Yi Jianlian and forward Bobby Simmons on draft night.
