Tim Henman's role in Laura Robson's rise

By Andrew Baker Tim Henman may never have won a title at the All England Club, but he was instrumental in the development of Britain's latest Wimbledon champion. Laura Robson, who won the girls' title in sensational style at the weekend, was inspired by an encounter with Henman in 2004, when she was the top-ranked nine-year-old in the UK. Well placed: Laura Robson's rise has also seen her been given high-fives by Tim Henman The pair played doubles together at a promotional event at a London sports centre, and Robson's mother, Kathy, was impressed by the trouble Henman took to encourage her daughter.
