The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh could go head to head at the National Television Awards. Monarchy: The Royal Family At Work centred on the Queen but also featured other royals going about their civic duties. The programme led to the resignation of a BBC1 controller when he wrongly claimed the monarch had walked out of a photoshoot in scenes captured in the documentary. The Duke: A Portrait Of Prince Philip is also nominated for Most Popular Factual Programme. The two-part ITV documentary was billed as "a unique and personal insight into the life and work of the Duke of Edinburgh" following unprecedented access.
