ONLY a 12th place after a 17th place start to the weekend left Jazeman (pic) Firhan Jaafar with much to do in the remaining five weekends of Formula BMW Europe. The 15-year-old Jazeman was hard-pressed to deliver after qualifying 22nd in the event held as a support race for the Formula One British Grand Prix at Silverstone yesterday. Jazeman was just 1.6 seconds off the pace of pole qualifier Ramon Pineiro of Spain, driving for the Fortec Motorsport team. In Race One, Am-Holzer-Rennsport driver Jazeman -- last year's Formula BMW Asia champion -- did well to move up to 17th from his poor grid position. The race saw a runaway win by Mexican Esteban Gutierrez of Josef Kaufmann Racing, who was eight seconds ahead of second-placed Michael Christensen.
