Taft still on campaign trail

Though she lost her N.C. Senate race, she will work for other Democrats By Ginger Livingston The Daily Reflector She didn't win the Democratic Party's nomination for the state Senate District 5 seat, but Greenville resident Kathy Taft will still be on the campaign trail leading up to November's Election Day. Taft said she'll be working behind the scenes for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beverly Perdue and Kay Hagan, the Democrat challenging Elizabeth Dole for her U.S. Senate seat. "I'm going to be working for candidates I admire, as I always have," she said. Taft lost by 2,200 votes in the June 24 second primary election between herself and Don Davis, mayor of Snow Hill.
