These allied health professionals ensure the sterile environment of a surgery room and handle the instruments needed for the procedure. Three associate of applied science degree programs offer surgical technology training within the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. The only program in this region is offered at Louisiana Technical College Lafayette campus.
