Published Date: 06 July 2008 AN ARRAY of hitherto unseen George Best memorabilia is going on display, including an exuberant letter he wrote to his parents after playing his first Manchester United game at the age of 17. The exhibition in Ballymena in Northern Ireland will also feature his football boots, his Mini Cooper car, the caps he won for Northern Ireland and the Benfica top he wore after swapping shirts when United won the European Cup in 1968. is being organised by the George Best Foundation, which raises money for research into liver disease and alcoholism as well as supporting football development among the young.
