Zeenews Bureau New Delhi, July 05: BJP’s prime ministerial candidate LK Advani on Saturday demanded that the Manmohan Singh government immediately call for a special session of the Parliament and seek the confidence of the House. He accused the Centre of reducing governance ‘to a theatre of the absurd’ saying that the differences between two principle partners of UPA has paralysed the government for the past 18 months. “The events of the past one week particularly has reduced governance to a theatre of the absurd,” he said. Even though the Left parties have not formally withdrawn support, the government has effectively lost its majority. "Government has been reduced to a charade...It has lost moral legitimacy (to govern)...For survival, government seems ready to trade off anything," Advani told a crowded press conference...
