Today we celebrate a very special birthday! Happy Birthday America! What we'd like to give you is a nation of people who are proud to be free, and proud to uphold our banner, Old Glory. Thirteen stripes to represent our first thirteen colonies, and fifty stars for the states. We proudly display our banner to show our allegiance to our great nation, The United States of America. Let's always hold dear those famous words that declare our allegiance. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Our pledge was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy (1855-1931), a Baptist minister. As Americans we must always take a stand for what we believe and for the Constitution that our founding fathers wrote for us....
