Peter Wells resigned as organist after a shouting match with a church youth worker An organist has resigned over 'irreconcilable differences' with the vicar of a prestigious church - the fourth senior member to leave in the past four months. Peter Wells, who has been the organist at St Dunstan's Church in Cranbrook, Kent, for the past 10 years handed in his notice this week after saying he could not work with Vicar Martin Burrell any more. Mr Wells decided to quit following a shouting match with one of Mr Burrell's youth workers, Diego Melo, after he and a group of youngsters interrupted a choir rehearsal to pick up electric guitars and amplifiers for a religious gig.
