We have a deal, SP tells Congress

NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and his key aide Amar Singh sealed a "deal" with the Congress leadership on Friday, agreeing to support the India-US nuclear pact and moving swiftly to replace the Left as the Manmohan Singh government's chief bulwark. TOI was the first to report, in its edition of June 22, that a Congress-SP deal was in the making when it said, "SP set to back N-deal, alliance with Cong on cards".
