Staff Reporter NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has this year received online property tax payments from about 5,000 non-resident Indians having properties in Delhi and living in 97 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, China and Russia among others. In addition to NRIs, nearly 20,000 property tax payers living in various cities of India and having properties in Delhi have also paid their property tax online. Announcing the report card on online property tax collections here on Friday, MCD Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta said the civic body had received an overwhelming response from property tax payers.
