$10,000 for Burma appeal

Save the Children Fiji collected $10,659.97 in its 14-day nationwide appeal to help children affected by Cyclone Nargis that killed thousands of people. Chief executive officer Chandra Shekhar said the appeal last month was a success and they were humbled by the support of the people of Fiji. "Despite our own economic challenges and difficulties, we have looked beyond these limitations and have shared a few valuable dollars with the people of Burma, especially the children who are in great suffering," he said.
