An agreement between Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and Lincolnshire Home Improvement Agency will be signed at South Park Fire Station, Lincoln on Friday 27 June 2008 at 10.00am, which will see volunteers carrying out Home Fire Safety Checks. Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue will be training the volunteers from the Home Improvement Agency to carry out these checks. The Agency has a number of volunteers who currently carry out a handy person service across the county for those residents who are over 60 years of age or who are registered disabled. The team ensure that residents are eligible for free assistance and carry out works suck as painting and decorating to the construction of a wheelchair ramp.
