Czechs a leader in motorbike accident casualties in EU

Brno - The Czech Republic exceeds all the EU member states in its number of motorcycle-accident related casualties. A Czech motor biker thus has a much higher chance of dying on the road than any other motor biker across the EU states. Only Latvia is the exception. These are the findings of a statistical report for years 2001-2007 elaborated by Transport Research Centre. The Czech Republic has the highest annual increase of deaths in traffic accidents based on one billion kilometers travelled. "A few countries - the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary and Great Britain - exhibit an increase of this risk.
