Guitar Hero: On Tour has thrashed sales expectations in its first week on sale in the US after shifting a massive 300,000 copies. That makes it publisher Activision's biggest selling DS launch game by a considerable margin. In fact, it ranks it as one of the company's top five ever product launches on any format – and that's a publisher which has released plenty of big name games such as Call of Duty and Spider-Man. "Guitar Hero is one of the most successful entertainment properties and continues to push the boundaries of innovation with Guitar Hero: On Tour," Activision president and CEO Mike Griffith told industry site MCV in between portable rawk performances. "The game's breakthrough peripheral brings the Guitar Hero experience to the 41 million DS users in North America and Europe, where they can play anywhere, anytime."...
