China offered gifts to N. Korea during Chinese VP's visit: report

China offered to North Korea 5,000 tons of jet fuel and 100 million yuan (about $14.6 million) as a gift when Vice President Xi Jinping visited Pyongyang last month, Yonhap News Agency reported Friday. Quoting multiple sources on North Korean affairs, Yonhap reported from the Chinese city Shenyang that the offer was to follow a precedent set during a previous visit to the North by a Chinese Communist Party and government delegation.
