No comparison between Hurricane Katrina and Iowa floods

This letter has not been edited Response to Richard Doran Iowa vs New Orleans. I can see that your manners are lacking, sir. I am a proud Southerner. I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I could go into my family tree, but that is not the purpose of my response. I will tell you that as horrible as the flood waters were in the Midwest, there is really no comparison to hurricanes Katrina/Rita. I will however tell you that my 82 year old mother lost everything and she, sir worked until she was 80 years old. We, were are not black and I am betting where you were born and raised blacks were probably not a factor. Yes, there are a majority of blacks in New Orleans, unlike Iowa and the rest of the Midwest.
