The largest crowd of the year witnessed a great game and great fireworks show after the Pensacola Pelicans (1-2) and Wichita Wingnuts (2-1) third and final game of the series. Wichita edged Pensacola 5-2 in a quick 2:19 game. The Wingnuts would strike first and break a scoreless tie in the third inning, scoring three runs on four hits. Chris Colton and Kevin Hooper would lead off the inning with base hits. Michael Ventura would get hit by the pitch on a 1-2 offering from Zach Cline to load the bases.
