Roger Federer meets Marat Safin, the rejuvenated Russian, on Centre Court today with a place in Sunday’s men’s singles final on the line. While Safin, seemingly free of injury, has been producing the sort of tennis that saw him land the US Open in 2000 and the Australian Open in 2005, Federer starts as the overwhelming favourite. Having equalled Bjorn Borg's achievement last year, the Swiss is targeting a record-breaking sixth successive men’s title.
