Waynesboro Symphony Kicks Off 12th Concert Season Oct. 25

Jul. 3--The Waynesboro Symphony kicks off its 12th concert season Oct. 25 with Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, "The Pastorale," the concert appropriately titled "The Seasons." WSO conductor Peter Wilson will be performing the duel role of conductor and solo violinist for Vivaldi's famous "Four Seasons." That concert will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Staunton. Other concerts in its 12th season include "A Salute to the Presidency" on February 7-8, 2009, which will include Copland's "Lincoln Portrait," and an April 4-5, 2009 concert titled "Times 2 Share" which will feature a Mozart concerto for violin and viola and Mendelssohn's Reformation Symphony.
