Hamza clinches gold

By Our Correspondent Bengaluru: July 3: India’s Chatholi Hamza, clinched the gold in the 1500m event in the BMC Gold race held at Watford near London on Wednesday. Hamza clocked 3:40.90s. Steve Davies (3:45.92) of Belgrave and Daniel Pettit (3:48.27) of Newham & Essex Beagles finished second and third respectively. Sajeesh Joseph clocked 1:48.25s to win the men’s 800M event, beating Tim Bayley (1:49.2) of Belgrave and Chris Moss ( 1:49.39) of Cardiff. Sinimole Paulose won the women’s 800M with time of 2:03.87, pipping Rachael Ogden (2:05.97s) of Worthing and Ingvill Makestad ( 2:06.92s) of Norway.
