By Anthony Elghossain Daily Star staff BEIRUT: Opposition parties are touting a meeting scheduled for Friday as a "National Christian Gathering," but key representatives of the community like the Phalange Party and other pro-government factions have not been invited. Organizers say the event will bring together some 150 Lebanese Christian political, economic and social figures in an attempt to hammer out a unified communal stance regarding the Christian role in the country. On Thursday, As-Safir daily published excerpts from the declaration of principles that is expected to be released after the meeting is concluded.
