Zambia denies Mwanawasa's death rumor

LUSAKA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Zambia on Thursday denies the death rumor of Levy Mwanawasa after reports said the Zambian president has passed away in Paris. Speaking in an interview aired by Zambia's state TV channel, chief government spokesman Mike Mulonguti dismissed the news of Mwanawasa's death as a rumor, saying that President Mwanawasa is now still "receiving treatment in Paris".
