Man charged over bus killing

A man has been charged with the murder of a 60-year-old ex-soldier who was attacked on a bus. Stan Dixon, who had earlier told a gang off for swearing, suffered a serious head injury in the alleged assault, which happened as he waited to get off a bus in Horden, near Peterlee, County Durham, on Saturday.
