published: Thursday | July 3, 2008 Both the police and the St Catherine Parish Council have denied responsibility for an unofficial bus park in Spanish Town where, it is reported, extortion is rampant. Since it does not run the parking lot and gains no revenue from it, says Mayor Andrew Wheatley, his council has no responsibility for its control. But the police in Spanish Town, judging from the remarks of Superintendent Terrence Bent, also feel no responsibility - at least not as yet - to intervene. So, no one is responsible.
