DRESSED in a white open-neck shirt and black suit jacket, Tony Mokbel appeared via videolink in a Melbourne court today as lawyers argued over a timetable for his future court hearings. They argued over whether accused murderer Mokbel's criminal charges and his claim he was extradited illegally from Greece should be heard together. Mokbel's lawyer Mirko Bagaric has argued his client is being held in Australia unlawfully because he was returned to Australia from Greece before his appeal against extradition to the European Court of Human Rights was finalised. Mr Bagaric told the Practice Court today that argument on whether his client was extradited illegally should be dealt with before he is tried on criminal charges.
