Dane Tomasson returns to Feyenoord

BRUSSELS, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Danish international striker Jon Dahl Tomasson returned to Dutch premier club Feyenoord on a free transfer from Spanish side Villarreal on Wednesday and will play for the Dutch side for three years. The 31-year-old has already passed a medical exam and was presented to the Dutch media on Wednesday at Feyenoord's De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam, along with earlier signing Karim el Ahmadi. Feyenoord, which finished a disappointing sixth place in the Dutch premier league last season, will start their UEFA Cup campaign in the first round in September. The Dane was one of the stars of Feyenoord's 1999 Dutch league title and 2002 UEFA Cup triumph.
