Last-minute budget Folsom-Cordova budget has nearly $6 million in cuts

But no help materialized, and the board reluctantly approved a budget Monday with nearly $6 million in cuts. "I don't think there's a part of this budget that hasn't been affected," Deputy Superintendent Debbie Bettencourt told the board. Among the most high-profile cuts to the $147 million budget are the elimination of third grade class-size reduction and cutbacks to school counseling. Other reductions will affect custodians, librarians, building maintenance and repair employees and special education classroom aides.
