UNPA resigned to SP alignment

3 Jul 2008, 0235 hrs IST, Mohua Chatterjee,TNN NEW DELHI: The UNPA meeting appears to be a formality because the third front components are resigned to the prospect of SP breaking away to support Congress and are ready to live with the changed equations. "They have their local compulsions to oppose Congress and we have our own. We have to mutually appreciate this," said a UNPA source, indicating that the grouping may survive SP's U-turn. Differences within the front were never expected to deter SP from formulating its own stand, the appreciation by other members of UNPA will be only to encourage it.
