MCD formulates revised policy for trade and storage licences

Staff Reporter NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has decided to do away with ad hoc trade licences and convert them into regular ones as part of a revised policy for grant and renewal of trade and storage licenses in areas under its jurisdiction. The new policy and new licence rates would be implemented from April 1 next year. The decision was announced at a press conference by Leader of the House Subhash Arya and MCD Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta on Wednesday. According to the MCD, the new policy would help reduce hardships faced by businessmen and also help the staff of the licensing branch of 12 zones to process the cases quickly and in a transparent manner.
