The police claim to have seized from them seven fake credit cards and several expensive articles bought through them. A multi-national bank recently lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch that fake credit cards had been used in its Electronic Data Capture machines installed at a South Extension shop. Investigations led to the police to zero in on three Nigerian nationals who had allegedly been using the fake cards to buy electronic goods and other articles.
