New name emerges in FBI probe of waste deal with Texas firm

TX: New name in FBI probe of waste deal Detroit Free Press (June 30, 2008) Jun. 30--A second representative of a Texas waste treatment company has come under scrutiny in a federal public corruption investigation in Detroit, the Free Press has learned. James Rosendall, 43, of Grand Rapids, listed as a vice president of marketing and lobbyist in Michigan for Synagro Technologies, is being investigated by the FBI as part of its probe into a multi-million dollar contract the Houston-based company won last November to process Detroit's wastewater treatment sludge. Synagro's general counsel, Alvin Thomas II, told the Free Press this afternoon that Rosendall was placed on suspension today by the company, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
