The U.S. ambassador to Belgrade Tuesday demanded the arrest and extradition of the 280-pound basketball player who pummeled a college student from Brooklyn to within an inch of his life. Make it happen. The Serbian government must deliver Miladin Kovacevic into American custody to face punishment for the merciless beating he inflicted on 135-pound Bryan Steinhauer in upstate Binghamton, where both were students at the state university. Hang the technicalities of international law, hang the lack of an extradition treaty between the U.S. and Serbia. If President Boris Tadic has sense, he'll put Kovacevic on a plane with a wish for a long stay in Attica.
