Beatrice Rose Beachy Ford

Enid, OK — A memorial graveside service for Beatrice Rose Beachy Ford, 92, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Jones will officiate. Arrangements are by Goodwin Funeral Home, Cherokee. She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in Capron to Ralph and Opal Culley and died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Lake Charles, La. She lived in Kansas for many years, where she graduated from high school in Ulysses. She attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Alva, for two years prior to serving in the Navy as a Navy WAVE. Following her discharge, she returned to Northwestern and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in 1948. She married W.A. “Bill” Ford in 1946. They moved from Wichita to Lake Charles in 1953.
