But no one should be surprised that China's Jie Zheng has eased into the ladies' quarter-finals, a 6-3, 6-4 winner over Hungary's Agnes Szavay yesterday. Zheng, a wild card, might struggle to see over the net cord from the baseline - standing 5ft 4in tall - but the world No 133 is no mug on a grass court. She won the women's doubles here in 2006 and is yet to drop a set in this year's singles; a run that has seen her destroy world No 1 Ana Ivanovic and Britain's Elena Baltacha.
