Posted to the web 30 June 2008 Francis Tim Mbom Police Thursday, June 27, took two Nigerians, Lucky Badamo and Jobawih Anansih, into custody. They had rescued the duo suspected of child trafficking from the grip of an angry mob at Down Beach in Limbe.Police authorities told The Post Friday, June 28, that the Nigerian nationals were being investigated for having allegedly tried to smuggle a young girl of between 10 and 11 years old from Douala to Nigeria via Limbe. The Post gathered from eyewitnesses that the duo hit Down Beach from Douala mid-afternoon in a five-seater car driven by one Edward Sameh Nguo.It was reported that as the driver swung the car off the tarmac at Mbonjo, and drove on along the gravelled road that leads to the beach front, he stopped the car.
