LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - People began lining up at 5:00 a.m. at a Lafayette car dealership offering gasoline for 99 cents a gallon on Monday. Police say the line was miles long by 8:00 a.m., when the 12-hour promotion began. Giles Nissan is offering up to 10 gallons of gasoline per vehicle. It hired police to help direct traffic.
