Rain stops play for first time

LONDON, June 27 (Reuters) - Rain stopped play at Wimbledon on Friday for the first time in the 2008 tournament. After four days of uninterrupted tennis, light drizzle forced organisers to cover the courts on Friday about half an hour after play started at 1136 GMT. Only the outside courts were in use at the time. Top seed and five-times champion Roger Federer was due to play a third round match against Frenchman Marc Gicquel on Centre Court at starting at 1200 GMT.
