Oki Electric Cable Develops Industry´s First FPC For Three-dimension Wiring

Oki Electric Cable Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:5815) today announced it is the first in the industry to unveil an FPC that can form and hold a three-dimensional shape. The company will offer this “Three-dimensional Flexible Printed Circuit Cable Board (3D FPC)” starting today. The 3D FPC will be showcased in the FPC Technology Corner at “JPCA (Japan Electronics Packaging and Circuits Association) Show 2008” , which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 11 to 13. As electronic devices become smaller and components more densely packed, to enable wiring in limited spaces, FPCs have become more flexible and less resistant to shaping.
