BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Gulf investments in Egyptian tourism projects is estimated at more than 12 billion Egyptian pounds ($2.24 billion), Abha-based Al Watan daily reported Saturday. The number of Gulf tourists visiting Egypt is growing at a rate 10% a year, the paper reported citing, Hesham Zazou, first assistant to the Egyptian minister of tourism. About 400,000 Saudi tourists visit Egypt each year, Zazou said according to the paper.
